ABOUT THE ROLE

We're seeking a talented Corporate Counsel to join our team at LayerZero, where you'll play a pivotal role in revolutionizing blockchain interoperability and shaping the future of decentralized applications. You will work closely with various teams across the organization to provide legal expertise and guidance on a wide range of commercial, employment, and technology-related matters. You will report to the General Counsel.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Structure, draft, negotiate, and advise on contracts and partnership agreements.
  • Interact with all internal and external partners.
  • Support LayerZero’s technology transformation goals and special projects, as needed.
  • Develop and implement legal training for business and procurement teams.
  • Assist business partners with a variety of legal questions.
  • Support LayerZero’s contracting practices through cross-functional critical initiatives.
  • Provide versatile advice across a broad range of commercial workstreams, connecting the dots between cross-functional areas, with a special focus on supporting the Business Development function.

ABOUT YOU

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as an attorney at a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team for large companies.
  • Membership in the British Columbia Bar, US state bar or eligibility to register under the British Columbia Bar, and start bar in-house counsel program.
  • Expertise in drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with strong prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
