As a Senior DevOps Engineer for our Web3/Blockchain/Oracles Engineering team, you will join a highly skilled engineering team responsible for mission-critical support of all applications and infrastructure. You will focus on product life cycle orchestration (automation, build/test/deploy pipelines, operations monitoring, infrastructure configuration). You will partner with internal and external teams to build and scale the various infrastructure components (including Kafka, API services, security solutions, and blockchain integrations) of our data platform. This team is responsible for supporting the development teams and streamlining the deployment process across a variety of instances – cloud providers and bare-metal nodes. This role is vital to our organization and will report to exec leadership and senior engineering leadership.
The US salary range for this full-time position is $129,200 - $175,400. In addition to your base salary, your total compensation package will include a targeted annual bonus, RSU, and benefits.
Individual base pay depends on various factors, such as the complexity and responsibility of the role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
Responsibilities:
Developing infrastructure-as-code across all applications for a variety of major cloud providers (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP) as well as bare-metal nodes
Experience with terraform, kubernetes and helm charts
Experience with managing RPC nodes for EVM Chains
Integrating test automation frameworks with our codebase
Orchestrating appropriate monitoring solutions across instances
Setting up tools and pipelines to facilitate deployment processes
Understanding DevOps patterns and practices and enhancing the team’s overall knowledge and skill set
Coordinate support issues for customers
Working with engineering leadership to define, prioritize, and ensure smooth deployments with other operational components
Nice to have: Engage with blockchain/Web3 trends, and understand deployment/devops use cases across Web3 and major blockchains
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field. Certifications recommended.
5+ years DevOps engineering experience
Cloud providers: AWS, Azure, GCP, etc
Tools: CircleCi, JFrog Artifactory, Git, Github, Slack, etc
Languages: Terraform, Ansible, Scripting (bash, python, etc)
Containerization: Kubernetes, Rancher, VM deployment, Docker
Skills: CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, artifact automation/management,Linux, networking
Understand common DevOps pitfalls and how to avoid them
Experience deploying resilient, scalable, and secure high-throughput systems
Knowledge of blockchain indexing, web3 stack, consensus mechanisms, etc
Experience with rapid development cycles in a web-based environment
Ability to communicate and document operation/configuration procedures
Passionate about Web3, blockchain, decentralization, and a base understanding of how data/analytics plays into this
Ability to engage senior business leaders and translate between the needs of the business and the demands of / capacities of technology
