The Sui Foundation exists to support the development, growth and adoption of the Sui network.  Sui is the first permissionless Layer 1 blockchain designed from the ground up to enable creators and developers to build unique Web3 experiences from gaming to finance.  Collectively, our goal is to successfully launch on mainnet, support the continuing growth of the ecosystem, and welcome the next billion users to Web3.

This person will be the first People Operations hire at the Sui Foundation and will support the end-to-end needs of the Foundation, including day to day and direct partnership with the Foundation’s core teams: Growth, Marketing, Developer Relations, as well as Legal, Finance, and Operations.

This person will work with a cross-functional team to build out People processes and programs to facilitate the global growth of Sui Foundation.  Part of this role includes staying abreast of regulatory framework and developments in the blockchain space, as well as working with Legal with management of employee token distributions and other employment law matters. This role reports to the Managing Director of Sui Foundation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide end-to-end People Operations support to the Sui Foundation, including serving as the day to day People Business Partner to the Growth, Developer Relations, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams.
• Thought partner to Sui Foundation’s leaders on all things People related.
• Create people processes and programs from scratch; help evolve some of the few people processes/programs that are currently in place.
• Work with cross-functional partners regarding entity formation.
• Working with Legal, manage the company’s employee token grant program and other employment legal considerations.
• Manage external vendors Sui Foundation works with to further our People goals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably having worked at a mix of high growth startups as well as more established companies.
• Ability to efficiently manage a high volume of complex and critical work with urgency and limited supervision.
• Enthusiasm about blockchain technology
• Experience in advising all levels of the organization, including senior level executives and is comfortable handling projects independently, directly, and in a solutions-oriented manner.
• Self-starter, quick learner with sense of urgency, highly driven and proactive.
• Unquestioned integrity and excellent business judgment with the ability to assess and risk-weigh situations quickly often with imperfect information.
• Great communicator comfortable providing clear, actionable, and practical advice.
• Solutions-oriented with strong business sensibilities.
