Talofa is seeking a Fullstack Game Engineer to work on our fitness game, Run Legends, as well as new games in the fitness gaming space. We’re looking for someone passionate about working with a collaborative remote-first team and in an agile live-ops environment.
This role is responsible for building scalable systems for a live-services game and providing engineering and technical support for the other developers.

Responsibilities:
- Create game backend for a live-operated mobile game, using technologies such as Playfab, Microsoft Azure, Unity, C# and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Create and document technical designs as needed for new features and communicate across departments.
- Develop responsive Web game websites
- Work together with the engineering, art, narrative, and design teams to ensure that the final product is reflective of the game vision.
- Perform code reviews and be willing to pair and work with other team members regularly.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering
- Familiarity with the Unity game engine
Nice to have:
- An enthusiasm for running or gamified fitness products and games for social impact
- Understanding of DevOps (CI/CD Pipelines, Automation, etc.)
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Slack as work tools
- Professional development experience with Web Stack (REACT, REST API, DB etc.)
- Professional development experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or similar services
- Curiosity about the use of emerging tech (AI, ML, UGC, Blockchain, etc.) in games
