Ecosystem Development Manager
Walrus Foundation
Walrus Foundation's mission is to advance adoption of the Walrus decentralized storage and retrieval platform.
Walrus is building the decentralized storage layer for Web3 — optimized for developers, loved by communities, and integrated across the ecosystems that matter. We’re looking for an Ecosystem Development Lead to help us scale adoption, drive meaningful partnerships, and make Walrus the default storage choice for web3 builders everywhere.
About the Role:
As Ecosystem Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of Walrus’s growth in Web3 communities. Your role will focus on identifying key developer and builder ecosystems, crafting strategic community relationships, and embedding Walrus into the core of these communities. You’ll work closely with Developer Relations and Product teams to remove integration blockers, co-design go-to-market strategies with partners, and help drive awareness through announcements and ecosystem marketing.
You’ll operate across online spaces and IRL events globally — wherever builders gather — to shape Walrus’s reputation and adoption.
What You’ll Do:
Identify and map key builder ecosystems (L2s, appchains, gaming ecosystems, open dev communities) that align with Walrus’s goals.
Design ecosystem engagement with Walrus developer communities — design programs and offers from initial outreach to ongoing breadth engagements.
Collaborate deeply with Developer Relations and Engineering to understand technical requirements and solve adoption blockers.
Showcase wins — work with Marketing and Comms to highlight new integrations, community stories, and use cases.
Engage with the community — attend conferences, hackathons, and digital meetups to build relationships with builders and ecosystem leads.
-
Support inbound interest and act as a connector between ecosystem projects and internal Walrus teams.
What We’re Looking For:
5+ years of experience in business development, developer relations, ecosystem strategy, or partnerships — ideally in Web3 or dev tooling.
Strong understanding of crypto-native builder communities, dev culture, and how ecosystems grow.
Web3 experience, particularly in developing compelling breadth programs touching all aspects of crypto (especially with small- to medium-sized projects).
Clear communicator with an ability to translate between technical, business and executive audiences.
Comfortable working autonomously in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. Domestic and international travel up to 20%
Bonus: Experience with decentralized storage, developer infrastructure, or protocol ecosystems.
Why Join Walrus?
We’re a small, ambitious team backed by long-term believers in decentralized infrastructure. We’ll work together to define how Walrus shows up in the ecosystem — and you’ll be given the support to move fast and make an impact. If you’re excited by Web3 builders, technical ecosystems, and shaping the future of decentralized storage, we’d love to hear from you.
